Desperados Brief Naomi Warren & Zoë Higgins
Desperados are a uniquely flavoured beer, which prides itself on its distinctiveness. It is all individuality, with a mexican flair.
Campaign: Desperate times call for desperado methods #desperadotimes Sponsored and banner ads on social media, inviting consumers to create their own instrument or sound and share it online with the #desperadotimes. This message would be shared with bloggers/influencers to help spread the message. To support the idea desperado would make “how to” videos, about how to make a beer bottle xylophone, or showcasing a DIY instrument performer. This will run for a few weeks, eventually Desperados will run a competition, asking people to vote for their favourite act. The chosen acts will be invited to play at a Desperado Times DIY festival which will travel Ireland over the summer months. Professional DIY street performers would also play to create a vibrant musical session, all brought together in a mexican theme.
Professional acts such as:

Experiential: Desperados DIY Festival
Desperados is a beer plus. It adds a little something unexpected and extra to just a regular beer. That is what we want to do for people. Show them that Desperados is the ultimate unexpected party, and what better way to do that then throwing a pop up DIY festival. Taking place in places such as the Phoenix Park or the Iveagh Gardens the festival would embrace the culture of tequila (Mexican) and the culture around the consumer; they live for experiences. With bars serving Desperados, full branding visible throughout the space in the park or gardens, Piñatas, Mechanical bulls, Jarabe Tapatio(Mexican Hat Dance) workshops and performances, Mexican food and DIY Musical Instruments. There will be an area where you and your friends can sit around, and make DIY musical instruments from recycled material, all provided by Desperados. There will be disposable cameras lying about, but all customers are encouraged to take photos and upload them to social media with the hashtag #Desperadotimes . The best pictures will be reposted on the Desperados social media pages, and the best of the best will win a prize. Prizes will also go out to those who create the best musical instruments. We would have a digital video to advertise this on all social media channels, which would showcase the atmosphere of the event, along with giving details of when and where it was on, all while reinforcing that this is an over 18s event. Along with this video, we would create an event on Facebook and run digital ads on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter advertising the event. Posts would be designed to talk about the event as its date approaches. These posts would encourage people to bring their own instruments and anything else they feel makes a festival/ party great. This reinforces the idea that the festival is DIY and is for the consumer. This could then be taken on a tour of Ireland.
